Netflix has decided to touch on the original story of one of the great achievements in the music industry (Story of Spotify) in the list of it’s upcoming series. The announcement has been made without a title for the series as of now.
The series will tell the “fictional account” of Spotify’s founders, including their service in charge Daniel Ek.
Six-Part Series
The six-part series – which is already on Netflix’s list, albeit with limited details – will be the job done by writers Jonas Leijonkfvud and Sven Carlsson, who record Spotify’s rise under Ek and his business partner Martin Lorentzon, according to Variety.
The book is said to have been based on “more than seventy conversations, as well as unprecedented sources” for a “David vs Goliath story about how strong convictions, unrelenting willpower, and big dreams can help small players take on the titans of tech.”
Who Are The Cast Members?
Variety publication hints and reports that the show has included Swedish actors Edvin Endre in the role of Ek and Christian Hillborg as Lorentzon’s fictional character.
It is unclear whether someone like Steve Jobs will appear in the film, although it is quite possible to happen.
Netflix has declined to confirm whether the Steve Jobs character will appear in the series.
When Will It Release ?
But speaking about the book in 2019, Carlsson told Variety that “we both felt an adrenaline rush as we revealed details about the dispute between Apple and Spotify. After a few months of research, we can finally answer how Job worked hard to oppose the establishment of Spotify in the U.S., and what he thought. It provided the story with a certain edge. ”
Plus, nothing spells drama like one tech titan producing a “fictionalized” series about the messy origin story of another. Show us fake Jobs, already, Netflix!
The show will hit Netflix in 2022.
