The good news is here for the fans who want to watch NBC series on Netflix. The second season of the popular tv show, Manifest, will be released on Netflix in the United States, beginning Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Created by Jeff Rake, The Mysteries of Laura creator, Manifest was broadcasted on the NBC television show back in the year of 2018. Three season after the show it’s future is in danger as it is yet to be approved by NBC to come out in the fall of 2021.
What Is The Show About?
It’s a supernatural drama the tells the story of a group of passengers and crew who were lost, but all of a sudden they have popped up again five years later.
The cast includes Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J. R. Ramirez, Luna, Blaze and the Jack Messina.
Which Seasons Will Air On Netflix?
Netflix is known for listing only a” season ” that is to be released. For the moment, We’ll assume that only seasons 1 and 2 are set to be added but given season 3 airs on NBC on June 10th (the same day as Netflix getting the show), it could be all three.
As we have mentioned, season 4 of the show is still waiting for approval. Last month, Deadline spoke to the Warner Brothers Group of companies television-president of the so-called ‘ Dungy, who has said that they “want the show to continue on the NBC television,” and “we are still in talks with NBC, and are keeping our fingers crossed.” The show was meant for six seasons in total.
Only On Netflix US
The show is produced and distributed by Warner Brothers Television, which is now rarely giving licenses to its shows on Netflix, and much of their effort is focused on the support of HBO Max, of course.
So, if you want to jump to conclusions as to what this entails, here are a few suggestions. The licensing effort to Netflix could be an attempt at building up the audience for Manifest in an effort to make the show more attractive for renewal to NBC or of course, pitch the show to Netflix taking over the reins. It could mean that the show’s chances of renewal are over but for now, that’s all speculation and we’ll just have to see how the next few weeks and months play out for Manifest.
Only Netflix US will continue to have the Manifest show in their options and it was not part of the original June 2021 lineup this month. Hulu and others also published Manifest episodes on their platforms but only for a catch-up mode.
