Bumble, a popular dating app where women are responsible for taking first step will be temporarily closing all of its offices for a week, to combat work-related stress of it’s employees .
The 700 employees around the world have been told to turn off from work and focus on themselves.
Paid And Fully Off-Line
One of the senior executives of Bumble said on Twitter that the company’s founder,Whitney Wolfe took this decision after “having correctly intuited our collective burnout”.
Bumble have had a busier year than most of the companies after it’s stock market debut, and the rapid growth of the user base.
In April, the company announced that all of the Bumble employees are to receive a paid and fully offline one week vacation in the month of June.”
Who Stays At Work?
A Bumble spokesperson said that several of the employees of the customer service department will be at work in the event that any of the app’s users are experiencing problems. These employees will then be given time off to make sure they take a whole week of leave.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed that majority of the employees of Bumble which has a strength of more than 700 will take a week off from work.
Bumble has grown in popularity during lockdown as boredom set in and swiping to find a match picked up.
