WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley praised his opponent from last night’s show of WWE Raw on Twitter. The All Mighty faced Mustafa Ali in a non-title match during the broadcast at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, and defeated the former Retribution leader via referee’s stoppage. As a mark of respect, Lashley shared a photo of himself and Ali backstage fist pumping just after fight on social networking sites, captioning it Regard. @AliWWE, you brought the fight. Much appreciation. #WWERaw.
Many people responded to the tweet, primarily praising the pair’s performance in the ring, with one fan writing, I really liked watching the match @fightbobby & @AliWWE had tonight fantastic game, and another writing, I really enjoyed watching the match @fightbobby and @AliWWE had tonight great match. The fight was Lashley and Ali’s second one-on-one match, with their first meeting occurring on the July 27, 2020, show of WWE Raw at the WWE Performance Center during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Later that year, the pair would clash five more times in multi-man matches, all of which involved The Hurt Business stable, that Lashley was a part of along with MVP, Shelton Benjamin, & Cedric Alexander. Lashley & Ali had not competed in the same fight since the September 6, 2021, show of WWE Raw, once Lashley partnered with MVP and Ali teamed up with Mansoor to fight in a Raw Tag Team Championship #1 contender’s tag team turmoil fight.
Bobby Lashley Is Back In A Film
Bobby Lashley is back in a film, eleven years from his last appearance, this time going to explore his lucha libre roots. The veteran WWE Champion will appear in Green Ghost as well as the Masters of the Stone, an upcoming action-comedy. Danny Trejo, known best for his lead roles in the movies Machete and Machete Kills, also appears in the movie.
Green Ghost as well as the Masters of the Stone follows Charlie (Charlie Clark), a car salesman by day who moonlights as the Green Ghost, a luchador by night. He eventually realizes that he possesses superpowers and therefore is forced to employ them in order to save humanity from villains who have arrived in town in search of the powers of what is described as an otherworldly emerald.
Bobby Lashley makes an appearance in the film as a wrestler who the Green Ghost faces in an underground lucha libre cage fight. Bobby Lashley’s first film debut since 2011, once he arose in the action movies Blood Out and Walk-in Welcomes; he made appearances in Beatdown and The Way of War, these starring Cuba Gooding Jr., in which he made a cameo recognised as Tattooed Hispanic Man. Lashley’s most recent film appearance was in the pilot episode of the television series Lethal Weapon.
