Katy Perry has been vocal about how much she loves her life as a mom. A source recently revealed that ever since she welcomed her daughter, Daisy; with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, she is dedicated to the child completely.
The source revealed that the singer has put off some work commitments recently so that she can fully immerse herself in motherhood. “She is really happy and enjoying her time with Daisy,” according to the source.
And when it comes to her relationship with the actor, sources reveal that the couple is doing the same old thing. “They’re both focused on being a family and taking care of their daughter,” the source notes. Back in November, it was revealed that the couple is in parenting bliss ever since welcoming their first daughter.
The source revealed that they are on the same page when it comes to making time for Daisy and their careers. They are also doing a great job of figuring out the new things together. However, according to the source, Daisy is their main priority at the moment. “They’ve both been so hands-on, and [they] know that it will always be a balancing act. Orlando thinks Katy is an amazing mom,” says the source.
Last month, the Fireworks singer had revealed the hardest part of having a newborn. She opened up to Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and said her daughter is a gift. The singer pointed out that there is a challenge concerning sleep.
She said no matter how much support you have it is a challenge. Katy said, But where am I going to get those six hours that I used to get? Where did it go?” Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child together back in August.

The news was first reported by UNICEF as they congratulated the couple. “Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honored to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and Orlando Bloom’s new bundle of joy,” the organization wrote, alongside a photo of the new parents holding their baby’s tiny hand.
The couple also shared their own statements through UNICEF. They explained that they are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of their daughter. However, they also acknowledged that they are lucky and not everybody would be able to experience birthing as peaceful as theirs.
The couple further added that communities around the world are experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers. They stated that every eleven seconds, a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. In their statement through UNICEF, they also added that many newborn lives are at risk because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. “As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever,” the goodwill ambassadors shared.
Katy and Orlando also said, “We know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare.” The couple announced they will be setting up a donation page to celebrate their daughter, Daisy’s arrival. They further explained that by supporting them, people would be supporting a safe start to a new life. The couple concluded their statement, “We hope your ♥️ can bloom with generosity.”
Orlando liked the post by UNICEF which included their statements and the representative for the couple also confirmed the good news. Orlando has a nine-year-old with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. However, Daisy is the first child Katy and he shares together.
